Mustang completed for the owner of the aircraft
A rare private commission and a genuine labor of love for Hans Jenssen. The client, Vlado Lenoch, is the owner and operator of this beautiful P-51D Mustang. No deadline and comprehensive reference materials including the factory parts catalog and maintenance manual enabled Hans to produce a painting without compromise in any area.
Usually pulling sufficient reference together for a cutaway is the biggest challenge of any project, but not here, as this example from one of the manuals shows. Watercolor and gouache. Size approx. 770m x 560mm.
